Disk volumes

Storage problems are among the most common production incidents: a full filesystem, a missing mount after reboot, LVM that won't extend, or inode exhaustion with plenty of space left. Knowing block devices, partitions, filesystems, and mount configuration is core sysadmin and SRE work.
